RosterVale is designed to keep your work schedule on your iPhone. Creating an account and sending a backup to the cloud are optional.

Information on your device

Shift names, rotation patterns, dates, times, notes, and preferences are stored on your iPhone. The app does not send this schedule information to us unless you choose to create a cloud backup. Device backups and files you export are controlled by your device settings and the destination you choose.

Optional account and cloud backup

If you choose cloud backup, Firebase Authentication processes the email address and password you provide, along with account verification and security records. Firebase stores up to five backup snapshots associated with your account. A snapshot can include the schedule information listed above. You must verify your email before the app can access backup data.

Cloud backup content is encrypted in transit and at rest by Firebase. It is not end-to-end encrypted, so the service provider can process stored backup data to operate the service and may disclose it when legally required. The intended database region is Montréal, Canada; confirm the final hosting region in the service details before launch.

How we use information

We use account details to provide sign-in, protect access, and support backup and account deletion. We do not use schedule data for advertising, and the product is designed without analytics or AI features. This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

Retention and deletion

Cloud backups remain until you delete them or delete your cloud account. Account deletion removes the five backup slots and account record before the Firebase Authentication account is deleted. If deletion is interrupted, contact support so the remaining cleanup can be completed. Deleting a cloud account does not erase schedules stored on your iPhone; erase those separately in the app if desired.

Service providers

Google Firebase provides account authentication, database hosting, and related infrastructure for optional backups. Apple provides the App Store and in-app purchase services if a paid version is offered. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy information.

Children and sensitive information

RosterVale is a personal scheduling tool, not a place to store medical, payroll, or other sensitive records. The app is not intended for children under 13.
